How did you get to where you are now?

Through getting a job that wasn't very related to my degree, but gave me valuable laboratory experience and confidence in my abilities, which led to me having the confiidence to apply to my current role that I thought I was underqualified for.

What has been your best experience as part of your role?

Getting to meet the animals that I am helping through diagnostic testing.

What has been the most challenging part of your graduate journey?

Feeling like I will never understand how to do my role when I first start a job.

What are your top tips for other students and graduates?

1. Start writing a cover letter and CV early on, and get it checked by a variety of people

2. Try roles you may not have previously considered

3. Try applying even if you don't quite fit the criteria, a good CV and cover letter goes a long way
