The P S Tyson Prize, named after a family owned construction company formed in 1949. Tyson supported timber construction work in conjunction with the LSA in the early 1970s, notably timber grids and glue laminated timber. The technology and building management focussed prize was originally established for Building Engineering, and on merging with the Liverpool School of Architecture, we inherited it.
The P S Tyson Prize is currently awarded for the best engagement with technology in MArch4.
