SAVSNET breaks 1,000,000 consults
SAVSNET received its 1,000,000th consult on Monday. This is big milestone for us. Remember, each and every consultation contains anonymised data such as age, breed, gender, neuter status, vaccination status, treatments and free text. A postcode allows us to map these data spatially at high resolution to monitor geographical trends. In addition, every consult has a real time syndrome tag applied by the attending vet or nurse which means these data are increasingly being used for real-time research and surveillance. We have ongoing projects on demographics, vaccination, diarrhoea and antibiotics, and these will be published soon. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our supporters but especially our collaborators BSAVA, the nice people at VetSolutions and Teleos who help us capture these data, and the 100's of veterinary practices up and down the country that use these software, including at CVS, who help supply these data. Together we can make a real difference to companion animal health.
