You will join a dynamic team to help advance the development of SAVSNET – the Small Animal Veterinary Surveillance Network – in the UK, working under the supervision of the project investigators (AD Radford, PH Jones, P-J Noble, G Nenadic, S Dawson, F Sanchez-Vizcaino).

You should have a PhD in Epidemiology or Biostatistics and an understanding of epidemiological principles relating to disease surveillance.  A veterinary degree would be useful but is not essential and applicants with other suitable experience will be considered.   You should have appropriate epidemiological and/or statistical expertise and have experience in analysing large datasets, designing and implementing epidemiological studies, as well as using software such as MS Access, SQL server, MySQL, Stata and R.  You should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate epidemiological results at all levels.   The post is available for 1 year initially.
