In February, The Horse Trust, one of the largest funders of equine research in the UK, with the support of its Patron HRH The Princess Royal, hosted a unique Symposium to address the apparent lack of evidence about the real-life problems impacting on the health and well-being of the UK’s one million horses.

Gina Pinchbeck and Alan Radford were invited to contribute to a two day meeting that sort to help the Horse trust design its future research strategy. Particular interest was shown in the role of qualitative social science and also health informatics research similar to SAVSNET.
