A rapid review of national signal for vomiting or anti-emetic use in cats

We have used two regular expressions: • Identification of clinical records from cats that describe acute or persistent vomiting • Identification of clinical records from cats that describe use of an antiemetic drug to identify the national picture for vomiting in cats over the last six months

Data was collected from practices using Robovet, Provet or Teleos practice management systems up to and including 26th May 2025. Each points represents a weeks data. There does not appear to be a national rise in cases, either vomiting or use of anti-emetics. This brief analysis does not capture local variations and we will pursue analysis on a more regional basis if there is a suggestion of a very localised outbreak.
