Acute feline vomiting
We have used regular expressions to identify clinical records from cats that describe acute or persistent vomiting, as well as clinical records from cats that describe use of an antiemetic drug. We've been using the findings to identify the national picture for vomiting in cats over the last six months.
Data was collected from practices using Robovet, Provet or Teleos practice management systems up to and including 26 May 2025. Each points represents a weeks data. There does not appear to be a national rise in cases, either vomiting or use of anti-emetics. This brief analysis does not capture local variations and we will pursue analysis on a more regional basis if there is a suggestion of a very localised outbreak.
