Daria Astapovych attended the ESOF 2014 (EuroScience Open Forum) in Copenhagen, Denmark on 21-26 June. She presented the oPAC Project as part of the FP7 Marie Curie Initial Training Network (ITN). On Sunday 22nd June, she joined LA3NET project members and Michael Budde from Danfysik to speak about training within the networks. The presentation described the coordinator's point of view regarding network training but also an industry perspective and the experiences and expectations of early career researchers.

ESOF is the only European meeting across all fields of science. The main aims of this forum are to: stimulate the European public engagement with science and technology, provide a valuable resource, including careers advice, for young scientists.

ESOF was also a nice place to meet new people, to broaden horizons and even an occasion to listen to Queen Margrethe II and Barroso and meet the Nobel laureate Serge Haroche.
