Joseph Patton

Joseph Patton graduated from the University of Liverpool with a first class honours MPhys degree in Physics in 2017. His masters project was an invesitgation into the discovery potential of Lepton Flavour Violating Higgs to μτ decays at ATLAS after the High-Luminosity upgrade to the LHC.

In October 2017, Joseph began his PhD at the University of Liverpool as a member of the LIV.DAT CDT. Working as part of the ATLAS group at Liverpool, his project will be search for Lepton Flavour Violating Higgs to lepτ decays using the Full Run-2 ATLAS data set. Joseph aims to use Multivariate Analysis Techinques novel to this kind of search in his analysis, with the overall aim being to maximise any limits or excesses observed.
