Do you want to be part of the "Writing for Wellbeing" anthology?

Writing for Wellbeing started as a series of writing activities to help people get through lockdown. We have been blown away by the range and quality of work that we've received (and continue to receive!) from all sorts of people from NHS workers to members of the general public who are shielding. So, we’ve decided to make an anthology of the best pieces. All proceeds from the sale of the anthology will go to NHS charities in the Merseyside area.

What will you be publishing?

We’ll be considering all work that we’ve been sent so far for publication as long as it is is in some way based on the videos or topics we have been sending out. If you have sent us work we may well be in touch to ask you to confirm that you are happy for us to publish it. Obviously we are happy to publish it anonymously if you prefer. We will also work with you on a final draft if you like.

Can I still submit to the anthology?

Yes:  We will be accepting submissions up until at least the end of June. If you would like to write something new – whether that is a new draft of an older piece, or a completely new piece just send it to us at the normal address: writingcomp@liverpool.ac.uk . The only requirement is that it must respond in some way to the videos (which are listed below). You can even submit if you have never sent us anything before.

Will I get a copy of the anthology?

Yes. Everyone included in the anthology will get a free hard copy. But a digital copy of the anthology will also be freely available to anyone who wants it, whether they submitted anything or not. We want everyone to be able to see the work that has been produced.
