A Nightingale Sang in Abercromby Square

200 year ago, in spring 1819, John Keats composed his 'Ode to a Nightingale', one of the most famous poems in the English language. Asking what is it to write a nightingale poem in 2019, we have commissioned six new nightingale poems with Pavilion Poetry.

The poems will be available here, as a postcard pack, and also as part of an outside exhibition in Abercromby Square during the University's Wellbeing Week (6-10 May). Also check back here for blog posts and essays on the poems, and the nightingale in poetry, science, and the environment more widely.
