The LA³NET research carried out by Aimierding Aimidula for Prof. Carsten Welsch at the University of Liverpool has now been published in Physics of Plasmas. The paper presents numerical simulation results for a dielectric asymmetric dual-grating accelerator which show an increasing in the average acceleration gradient by around 10% in comparison to symmetric structures.
