LFC Foundation

The LFC Foundation is the official charity of Liverpool Football Club.

Formed in 2002, the LFC Foundation is a financially independent organisation set up to harness the power and passion of the LFC family to help improve the lives of others. Their mission is to create life changing opportunities for young people and families.

The LFC Foundation works with partners in areas of high need and deprivation across the Liverpool City Region, with almost two thirds of their participants located in the top 20% most deprived wards in the country.

Along with IntoUniversity and the University of Liverpool, LFC Foundation was one of the founding partners behind the successful fundraising campaign launched in 2017 that established the IntoUniversity North Liverpool Centre in Anfield.

In a ground-breaking move, the 2017 campaign marked the first time the national education charity IntoUniversity had worked jointly with a Premier League football club’s foundation and a university.

In addition to their work with the University and IntoUniversity, the LFC Foundation delivers more than 50 programmes across six areas of activity, supporting over 83,000 people across the Liverpool City Region and beyond.

This work has contributed £80m of social value, and for every £1 invested in community projects they provide £16.36 social return on investment.

Former Liverpool FC captain, Jordan Henderson, leant his support to the campaign saying “Everyone has a right to education and I’m proud that IntoUniversity allows young people to dream big for their future.”

We encourage the LFC Family, our club, our players, and our fans to show commitment and ambition in everything they do.
