Recently David Holdsworth of APHA came to visit Leahurst. This was an opportunity to discuss work being done in IVES with Matthew Baylis, and also to find out about SAVSNET, EVSNET, and our new farm animal surveillance network, FAVSNET. Discussions also included our virtual biobank, outbreak detection and text mining. It was very interesting to talk about how our surveillance networks could complement those of APHA's.
