The aim of the event

Sustainability has been a buzzword for a number of years now and, when we look at the evidence, people do understand the need for massive, urgent behaviour change but, though they intend to act, they are not quite fulfilling their intentions to do so.

So how could technology be used to help individuals improve their sustainability? To answer this question, we are holding a hackathon to get a group of brilliant minds, with a passion for sustainable living, into a (virtual) room to tackle it. Get involved and work together to come up with a creative solution to narrow the sustainable living intention-action gap.

Event format

The initial briefing session will be on 22nd July (Wednesday) from 10am-1pm, introducing the briefs. The participants will have a full week to work on the chosen brief with the option to work individually or as a team of up to 3 people. The solution should be submitted by 28th July (Tuesday). Individual timeslots will be sent for the presentations on 29th July (Wednesday).

The reward

The winner or winning team will have the opportunity to choose the reward which could be either:

- Develop their solution with the support and guidance from the team at 3 Sided Cube
- A short-term internship through Cube Academy at our Bournemouth HQ or a virtual one
