Are you looking for an innovative student output or assessment? Digital storytelling is the practice of using digital technology to tell stories that have a purpose and present a point of view. Unlike traditional stories, digital stories are presented through a mix of modes: text, visuals, audio and video. Creating a digital story is a project that involves research, reflection and story production, and increases student engagement.

This workshop will get your started in the art of digital storytelling in education by:

Introducing you to the 7 elements digital storytelling as a framework to work with your disciplinary subject.

Exploring the steps involved in the creation of a digital story (e.g. storyboarding and script writing)

Designing a summative and formative strategy that includes group discussion, peer feedback and rubrics.

Exploring one digital application to create digital stories.

This workshop is hosted by the Centre for Innovation in Education and open to University of Liverpool staff only.

Please use your University of Liverpool email address when booking ( e.g. @liverpool.ac.uk). CIE reserve the option of offering one to one meetings to attendees on workshops with fewer than five bookings.
