Allegations and proven cases of doping have occurred in many sports over the past few years, most notably over the Sochi Winter Olympics, athletics, cycling, and swimming, affecting the integrity of each. At the present time 72 sportspeople from 13 different sports are serving bans imposed by UK Anti-Doping.

Join us for a discussion about the extent of doping in sport, its impact, and the measures necessary to ensure integrity in the sports arena. Our expert panellists include:

• Tim Naylor, Director of Integrity and Regulation, British Horse-Racing Authority (BHA)
• Geoff Parsons, Executive Chairman, ByDesign Group, and former Olympic Athlete
• Janice Shardlow, Sport Governance and Integrity Consultant, and former Non-Executive Director of UK Anti-Doping
• Trevor Gornall (Football Industries MBA, 1998) Editor, Conquista Cycling Magazine, and Sport Business Consultant

This is a joint event between the University of Liverpool Management School’s Sports Management PIN and Birkbeck Sports Business Centre. For more information on the Sports Management PIN, please click here.
