Artist Jasmir Creed discusses her latest exhibition Dystopolis with art tutor Julie Robson.

Themes will include how Creed's painterly techniques illustrate how cultivation of spaces including Manchester and London, focuss on architecture and crowds and how multiple viewpoints express feelings of alienation and flux in the jostling movement of people in urban spaces, showing the city as a dense environment for the familiar and unfamiliar.

Creed considers how views of contemporary urban journeys and the structure of crowds, the shape and nature of crowds such as commuters, political marches, translate into contemporary painting.

Free event, no booking required.
