AlphaGo chronicles a journey of an unproven AI program from the halls of Cambridge, through the backstreets of Bordeaux, past the coding terminals of DeepMind in London, and, ultimately, to a seven-day Challenge Match in Seoul. As the drama unfolds, more questions emerge: What can artificial intelligence reveal about a 3000-year-old game? What can it teach us about humanity? AlphaGo was directed by Greg Kohs with an original score by Academy Award nominee, Hauschka. It had its world premiere at the 2017 Tribeca Film Festival and won the “Knowledge is Power Science Prize” at the 2017 Traverse City Film Festival.
