The School of Environmental Sciences will host a workshop from 1300-1600 on Tuesday 4th July in the Jane Herdman Map Library to work up a potential outline proposal for a large bid to the next Global Challenges Research Fund call. One idea that emerged from a SoES Large Grants workshop, back at the end of January, was to coalesce a large group of expertise to the topic of Sustainable Coastal Cities. The aim of the workshop would be to come up with research plan to develop a centre of expertise lead by Liverpool (but collaborating with relevant partners) that would be a resource for ODA countries faced with intense challenges of sustainable development of massive coastal urban centres of population.
