Microsoft Outlook: Download the file, double-click it to open it in Outlook, then click on "Save & Close" to save it to your calendar. If that doesn't work go into Outlook, click on the File tab, then on Open & Export, then Open Calendar. Select your .ics file then click on "Save & Close".

In this talk Tara will describe what particle physics tells us about the universe, discuss what we need to solve next, and show how CERN experiments are helping to fill in the gaps in our knowledge and move science forward.
CERN is home to the Large Hadron Collider, the most powerful particle accelerator ever built, an antimatter factory that constructs anti-hydrogen atoms and much else besides. Tara Shears is a particle physicist, and Professor of Physics at the University of Liverpool, currently performing her research at the Large Hadron Collider. Her research focusses on testing the theory of particle physics to see where it might break down, and if it reveals new forms of physics processes underneath.
