Georgina’s work straddles the interdisciplinary divide between environment, history and geography. Her main interests are in environmental and climate history. Her work has included archival investigations for climate and environmental change in Latin America, human adaptation and response to unusual weather events in historical context, and vulnerability to extreme weather and environmental history in southern Africa and Mexico. Her seminar will explore some of the findings from her research, including more recent work on extreme weather events in Great Britain.
