The European Children’s Rights Unit is hosting an event involving children and young people to explore BREXIT from the specific perspective of children. In particular, the event will:
• Shine a light on the potential impact of the UK’s withdrawal from the EU on specific aspects of children’s lives;
• Explore children and young people’s understanding and views of the key arguments for and against UK withdrawal from the EU;
It will debate what leaving the EU might mean to children’s lives and rights in relation to issues such as their education, current and future job opportunities, their health and personal safety, community life, family life and immigrant children’s legal rights.
