The Department of Geography runs weekly lunchtime seminars involving external speakers showcasing new and exciting developments in research in the fields of Geography and Planning. All staff and students are invited to attend. This week’s speaker is Dr Rob Doe. Dr Doe’s seminar will present a detailed understanding of the rare climatic phenomenon of Tornado’s in the United Kingdom (UK). It will explore topographical factors which influenced the development and direction of an example Tornado within the UK. This is key to understanding how to predict future risk of Tornado’s developing in an increasingly changing climate.
