Come and join us for this week of events to celebrate the cultures and languages of the Iberian Peninsula and Latin America, including Spanish, Portuguese, Catalan and Basque. We are offering a wide range of activities that will feature music, literature, film, tapas, wine tasting, and a lot of fiesta! Many events are open to everyone and free of charge.

Among many other things, you can discover Totonac, an indigenous language of Mexico, in a published translation by a Liverpool student for the first time; participate in a talk by Portuguese film director Sérgio Tréfaut on immigration in Portugal; or watch artist Alfredo Hau paint a mural live.

The event is organised by the Department of Modern Languages and Cultures with the support of the Instituto Cervantes, Spanish Embassy, Instituto Camões, Institut Ramon Llull and Etxepare Basque Institute.
