The Institute of Popular Music and the Department of Music at the University of Liverpool are pleased to announce ‘The Global Media and China: Scholarly Dialogue’ event which will be presented by academics from the Communication University of China (CUC) and Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK).
The programme will include two short workshops to introduce the Sage journal Global Media, two academic presentations and a Q&A session to discuss future collaboration as below:
‘Advancing Global Media Research: The Role of the Global Media and China journal’, presented by Prof. Jianxin Zhou (CUC)
‘Global Media and China: Positioning, Development, and Scholarly Dialogue’, presented by Prof. Dianlin Huang (CUC)
‘Generative Al and the Paradigm Crisis in Communication Studies: Human-Machine Dynamics and Disciplinary Reconstruction in the AIGC Era’, presented by Prof. Anthony Fung (CUHK)
‘Adaptation and optimisation across audio-visual platforms: hot song production in the Chinese music industry’, presented by Prof. Qian Zhang (CUC)
Q&A and Discussions, moderated by Dr. Haekyung Um (University of Liverpool)
