Exploring Feminist Legal Research

Wednesday 2nd May 2018, 12.00pm-2.00pm

Venue: Lecture Theatre 3, South Campus Teaching Hub, University of Liverpool, L7 7BA

Instructor: Dr Anastasia Tartaryn (School of Law and Social Justice, University of Liverpool)

This session will explore some of the issues raised by feminist approaches to legal research.

The application of theoretical insights from different schools of feminist legal theory have contributed to a rich history of feminist law reform. As such, this session will examine how feminist theoretical and methodological approaches are incorporated into legal research, as well as demonstrating how feminist perspectives can be applied to critique the law.

The session will provide valuable insights for postgraduates and early career researchers to explore and develop their own research from a feminist perspective.
