Wednesday 25th January 2017, 2pm-3.30pm

Venue: Lecture Room G04, Cypress Building, Chatham Street, University of Liverpool, L69 7ZR

Presentation by Dr Justin Jagosh (University of Liverpool)

Realist methodology (evaluation and synthesis) is a theory driven approach to uncovering ‘what works, for whom, under what circumstances and how’ in the evaluation of interventions, programmes and services.

The general process in conducting a realist project is to theorize upon the intervention under investigation, develop and use protocol to collect data, and analyse using context-mechanism-outcome configurations.

This interactive seminar introduced the basic concepts in realist methodology with reference to examples of its application.
