Ben Cheymol

Benjamin began studying Physics at the Universite Paul Sabatier and following his DEUG he went onto the Universite Blaise Pascal in Clermont-Ferrand to study high energy physics. The field of his maitrise thesis was in medical physics, focusing on imagery for breast cancer treatment.   His master’s degree was completed in June 2007, with the title ‘Measurement of the Generalized Polarizabilities of Proton in a Virtual Compton Scattering Experience’.

Since 1st December 2008 Benjamin has been working as a DITANET trainee based at CERN where his work centers on the Development of a Transverse Beam Distribution Monitor for LINAC4.    LINAC4 is a new project at CERN with the aim to build a high current H- linac as a replacement for the current proton LINAC as the first stage of the LHC injectors.
