Stay safe online

We often take IT for granted including using IT facilities to access social networking, online banking, and other account-based websites and services.

If you are using our facilities to access these sites your usage is governed by the University's IT Acceptable Use Policy. 

Antivirus for personal computers

The University has an agreement in place with Sophos, to provide all staff and students with Sophos Home antivirus to install on your personal home computers. 

Please also ensure your personal computer has the latest updates installed for the operating system and for the software and apps you have installed.

You need to be aware of potential dangers and threats to your security online and the measures you can take to protect your personal information.
