Advanced Inorganic Materials: synthesis, processing, measurement and computation

This interdisciplinary meeting will cover many of the scientific opportunities in modern inorganic materials with 8 invited presentations addressing the chemistry, physics and materials science of these systems.

Registration and coffee from 09.30 am. Talks start at 10.30 am.

Professor Antoine Maignan (Laboratoire CRISMAT, Caen), Professor Jon Binner (Birmingham Materials), Professor Mark Blamire (Cambridge Materials), Professor Duncan Gregory (Glasgow Chemistry), Professor Aron Walsh (Bath Chemistry), Professor Marty Gregg (Queens Belfast Maths & Physics), Professor Simon Clarke (Oxford Chemistry), Professor John Irvine (St-Andrews Centre for Advanced Materials).

Poster contributions and contributed 15 minute talks are welcomed, covering any aspect of synthesis, computation, properties and structures of advanced materials from materials science, physics and chemistry perspectives (please give titles and authors plus affiliations on the attached form).

Registration:  There is no charge for attending the meeting but registration is required to allow numbers to be estimated for catering purposes.  Please contact jane.remmer@liv.ac.uk to register by Friday 22nd August 2014.

Overnight accommodation: There are a range of hotels within relatively easy reach of the University.  The Holiday Inn (Liverpool City Centre), the Novotel (Liverpool Central), the Feathers and the Hope Street Hotel have all been used by visitors.
