Personal view

What attracted me to study Chemistry at the University of Liverpool initially was its great reputation and lab facilities. Not only is Liverpool a brilliant city to study in, but it’s also an amazing place to live and along with the social events organised by the department and the sports societies available, there’s always something going on. Living in halls in my first year was a great way to socialise and make friends, and the regular buses into uni and town meant living off campus was never an issue.

I chose the 4 year MChem course with a year in industry as I felt this would give me the opportunity to gain valuable lab experience in a research environment in my third year, which will benefit me immensely when I graduate. Although I find my course challenging, there is always someone to turn to when I need help or advice and the lecturers are always more than willing to go over material I find difficult.
