Jennifer Bargh (BA Hons Geography 1990) has just been promoted to Deputy Head at Queen Elizabeth's Grammar School, Horncastle.
Philip Higgins (BA Hons Classical Studies 1990, pictured above) has spent the last 25 years as a financial adviser, which would have surprised him as a teenage Classics student back in the last millennium. Philip is a director of Maple Leaf Consulting Ltd, based in Chester. Outside of work he spends too much time reading thrillers and historical novels. He still live in Widnes, is still single (he knows, amazing!) and is still trying to finish writing his own ancient historical epic. Watch this space!
Peter Kneebone (MDes 1990) has spent more than 45 years involved in art & design as a designer, lecturer, senior lecturer and college manager. The most rewarding years being those when Peter lectured, developed, supported and enriched the experiences of design students to gain careers and become effective design practitioners. His experience includes the necessary wide range of designer and lecturer activities, including research, publications, seminar presenting and exhibiting work. Peter continues a limited and exclusive graphic design practice to further develop qualities and standards in communications design and the personal enjoyment in developing creative and effective visual communications.
Joe Morrissey (BA Hons Combined Honours 1990, pictured above) works at the Football Association as a business analyst manager
Dr Juliette Riddall (BVSc 1990) works in Melbourne, Australia, at Lort Smith Animal Hospital, a large not-for-profit veterinary hospital. Juliette is still enthusiastic about being a vet and is also busy with conservation work on the Yorke Peninsula in South Australia revegetating remnant bushland and making safe habitats for wildlife.
Matthew Barton (BEng Hons Engineering Science 1991, pictured above) has taken the leap into working for himself, taking what was his father’s engineering business back into family ownership with his sister.

Dr Andrew Thompson (BA Hons Psychology 1991) has just started a new job and leaving the University of Sheffield where he was a Reader in Clinical Psychology. His new job is Professor of Clinical Psychology/Programme Director of the South Wales Doctorate in Clinical Psychology based at Cardiff and Vale University Health Board/University of Cardiff.
Dr Daniel Hall (BA Hons Economics 1992) completed a PhD in Industrial Economics and Management at KTH Royal Institute of Technology.

Dr Richard Piper (né Goodall) (BA Hons Geography 1994) is CEO of Alcohol Change UK, the social change agency that runs Dry January and campaigns for a less alcohol- saturated drinking culture, drives innovation in alcohol treatment, and leads research to eliminate alcohol harm.
Fernando Amores (MSc in Advance Scientific Computation 1995, pictured left) currently works at the Bank for International Settlements as a senior systems analyst.
Jason Buultjens (LLB Hons 1995, MAC International and European Law 1996) worked in private practice as a commercial litigator before joining the Government Legal Department in 2008. Jason is currently on secondment as Head of Domestic Asylum Policy for the Home Office.
Dr Sameera Sayeed (PhD Microbiology 1995, pictured left) moved to the US after leaving Liverpool. She has been in many academic roles in research and teaching. In the last two to three years, she has switched completely from academia to public health and is enjoying working in this field.
Dr David Scarpa (MSc Earth Sciences 1995) completed a research degree under the supervision of Professor Chris Paul. His thesis is entitled, The Moza Event, and he did a great deal of field work in Israel, Palestine and Jordan.
Ruth Barton (BA Hons History 1996) has just completed a MA in History at the University of Northampton and is hoping to commence a PhD exploring aristocratic emotions in March 2020.
Sarah Whiteman (BA Hons Combined Honours & PGCE 1996) has been promoted to Director of Culture at Iveshead School in Leicestershire.
Frances Christodoulou (TEFL Postgraduate Certificate 1997) spent her career in teaching English Language and Literature, mainly in Further Education, until she retired in 2007 from Barnet College in North London, where she had been a lecturer for seven years. Frances subsequently started writing novels, five of which were published by 2013. She has just published a sixth novel after a period of several years without writing, when she was caring for her husband, who was suffering from Alzheimer's. My latest novel deals with the pain and trauma of losing a beloved husband to this terrible disease, as well as setting this illness within the context of a long and challenging life. This novel is entitled Do I Know You? and is available on Amazon under the name of FX Christodoulou.
Tsola Mode (BEng Computer and Microelectronics Systems 1997) has worked in the Finance industry since graduating, most of which has been based in Australia where he currently resides.
Simon Moore (BA Hons Business Economics 1997, pictured left) qualified as a Chartered Accountant, before working in the banking and private equity sectors, before leading M&A teams in the digital publishing sector. Simon now runs an online retailer, www.underu.com, which is the largest independent seller of men's designer underwear in the UK, and also acts as finance director for a fund management company.
Professor Qazi Azizul Mowla (PhD Urban Morphology 1997) is a Professor of Architecture & Urban Design in BUET. He has won a number of design competitions and is the Vice-Chancellor designate for Leading University, Sylhet, Bangladesh.
Daniel Smyth (BSc Homs Geology 1997) is the Operation Director for Lampton 360 in London, living near Winchester.
Professor D Harlan Wilson (MA Science Fiction Studies 1998, author photo pictured above) is a Professor of English at Wright State University-Lake Campus in Ohio. He is the author of more than 20 works of fiction and non-fiction, most recently J.G. Ballard (University of Illinois Press, 2017), Natural Complexions (Equus Press, 2018) and The Psychotic Dr. Schreber (Stalking Horse Press, 2019).
