    About

    Personal Statement

I have taught at the University of Liverpool for over ten years. I lecture in Social Psychology and teach seminars on clinical psychology. My research interests lie in identity, group dynamics, conflict, and the influence of overlapping social identities on prejudice and out-group derogation. Since 2012, I have also been involved with the School of English and helped to organise conferences on topics interfacing literature, art, philosophy, and psychology, looking particularly at ways in which Psychology and Literature can usefully interact. I am currently collaborating towards a project with NHS colleagues, resulting in a co-edited volume on successful management of primary care and general practice, written with GPs, colleagues in humanities, healthcare researchers, patient voice leads, and practice management colleagues. My work is centred on conflict resolution via cross-disciplinary engagement.
