These pages provide information for external suppliers about doing business with the University. Staff can access guidance, help and advice on the procurement of goods and services via the staff intranet.

The University of Liverpool is a member of the North Western Universities Purchasing Consortium  and much of what we buy is through framework agreements created by this and other higher education consortia throughout the country.

External suppliers looking to work with the University can get in touch with us at procurement@liverpool.ac.uk. We also have an e-tendering portal, with guidance on how to use this portal available as part of our information for external suppliers.

The University is not a contracting authority for the purposes of the Procurement Act 2023, and is therefore not subject to the procurement procedures set out in that act. Nevertheless, the University is committed to securing value for money, ensuring fair and transparent procurement practices, managing conflicts of interest, and complying with all other applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
