Personal Statement

Kat is based in the department of Psychology and provides a variety of TEL support for both staff and students. This includes: providing technical training for University systems, facilitating the usage of online learning platforms like Canvas, and promoting innovative ways to use them.

Kat's areas of interest in Technology include: digital accessibility, inclusive education, online and blended learning, and developing digital confidence. She has substantial experience working in IT and has previously worked in further education, where she supported learning technologies and served as the organisation's champion for digital accessibility. Kat earned a BSc in Computer Networking from Sheffield Hallam University in 2016 and is presently enrolled in a part-time master's programme in inclusive education at Manchester Metropolitan University.
