New member of the STFC Science Board (PPAN)

Liverpool academic, Prof. Monica D'Onofrio, has been appointed as a new member of the STFC Science Board PPAN from October 1st, 2023. The board will provide advice to Particle Physics, Astronomy, and Nuclear Physics funding science programme, also including particle astrophysics, space science and related areas of accelerator science. Science Board PPAN comes from a restructuring of the previous Science Board and the Technology and Accelerator Advisory Board (now evolved into Science Board Facilities and Laboratories), following the recommendations from the independent strategic review of particle physics. Monica’s research focuses on searches for supersymmetry, dark matter and dark sectors at the ATLAS and FASER experiments at the LHC and at future colliders. She comes to Science Board PPAN after three years with the Particle Physics Advisory Board and several other STFC and international roles.
