Liverpool Hosts Delegation from the British University in Egypt
Engineering students from The British University in Egypt toured the Stephenson Institute for Renewable Energy (SIRE) to understand the work being undertaken here at Liverpool. Hosted Dr. David Martin, Dr. Hem Raj Sharma, and Prof. Vin Dhanak from the Department of Physics and research students at SIRE, the visitors received training in battery chemistry, solar cells, heat storage, and surface analysis and toured the facilities at SIRE. The trip, which was hosted in collaboration with the University of Lincoln and the British Council, also included a visit to Liverpool F.C.’s famous Anfield stadium.
