A dedicated meeting of experts was held at the UK’s Cockcroft Institute on 22nd and 23rd January 2013  to discuss plans for constructing an LHeC ERL test facility at the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN).  oPAC fellow Alessandra Valloni, whose oPAC work will be devoted to the design of the test facility took part in this event. The main goals of the meeting were to discuss the choice of the LHeC linac frequency – considering beam dynamics, performance, cost and risk. A full report on this meeting, its participants and outcomes, will be provided in the next oPAC Newsletter.
