Working together
A bilateral workshop with the National Nuclear Laboratory was held at the beginning of the semester. The topic of the workshop was computational modelling with a focus on credibility and validation of models. Speakers from several schools in the University and sites of NNL presented research and discussed gaps in our knowledge and understanding. The workshop was the second in a series of annual workshops initiated under the NNL/UoL strategic partnership agreement. After the workshop, Andrew Sherry, Chief Scientist of NNL and Janet Beer, Vice-Chancellor of the University signed a Heads of Terms relating to development of a joint venture in the provision of continuing profession development (CPD) courses. The courses will be launched in September 2016.
