Aims |
|
|
The module provides students a final-year capstone course in popular music composition, with formative assessment at the end of first semester leading to a final composition portfolio and commentary at the end of the second semester. The module aims to support students wishing to go on to related postgraduate courses or jobs in popular music composition or songwriting. |

Syllabus |
|
|
Module content will depend on the student's proposed area of specialism and mainly consists of one-to-one tutorials will be with a specialist staff in the relevant area. Three full group sessions will cover topics such as compositional methods, proper implementation, and technical considerations. |

Teaching and Learning Strategies |

Teaching Method 1 - Large Group Sessions Teaching Method 2 - Individual Meetings The majority of teaching will be delivered face to face on campus. Online delivery will be used to complement the on campus delivery and where technology affords a better learning experience. |
