Syllabus |

The MA dissertation affords students to complete an extended piece of original scholarship on any facet of the Beatles’ career, history, industry, heritage or legacy. Drawing on skills, theories and concepts developed throughout the programme, students will identify an original research question and undertake collection of secondary and/or primary data to present their findings. The content of the module cannot be prescribed. Guidance towards completing the dissertation will be given in the module 'Studying Music Industry' (MUSI510). Every student will be allocated a supervisor who will help formulate the argument and conduct the research effort. |
Teaching and Learning Strategies |

Assessment for this module will be both formative and summative, with an emphasis on inquiry-based learning. Students will build on the dissertation preparation skills developed in module MUSI510, Studying Music Industry. |
