Coursework | Equivalent to approx | Semester 1 and 2 | 50 | Yes | Standard UoL penalty applies | Quantitative skills Notes (applying to all assessments) Students must pass both assessments to successfully complete the module. Students will be allowed on in-course resubmission opportunity in Assessment 1 for each assessment component they fail. Assessment 1: Communication skills assignments consisting of 6 study cycles, in-course assessments including written and oral assignments. Average length of written assignments is about 750 words each. This assessment cannot be anonymously marked as it is tutor-marked. Assessment 2: Quantitative skills assignments consisting of a combination of online tests and a final in class test, plus a PeerWise activity that students complete independently across both semesters. PeerWise activity requires students to write informative MCQs based on their learning. They are also required to comment on the questions created by other students in an interactive online forum. |

Lecture - 20 one-hour introductory lectures 6 of the lectures will introduce the various tutorial tasks related to the communication skills. The remainder will introduce and discuss the quantitative skills core concepts. |
