Aims |

To develop a microeconomic and a macroeconomic perspective of banking; To acquire an understanding of the specific nature of a bank as a firm, the role of banks in an economy, and of the regulatory environment in which banks operate; To develop an understanding of economic foundation of the banking sector and analyse its importance for the macro-economy. |
