Aims

The aims of this module are to provide the students with the ability to develop team work, individual presentation and group presentation skills.
Students will also be given an opportunity to develop an awareness of themselves as finance professionals, to reflect on their professional development in terms of strengths and weaknesses and to develop key employability skills aligned with employer expectations.

Teaching Method: Online Asynchronous Learning materials
Description: Some of the materials (videos, sways) are offered by external/internal speakers, for example Careers and Employability, External Relations, and the Library. The module follows the principle of flipped classroom approach with very active learning supported by ad-hoc short videos.

Teaching Method: Seminar
Description: The seminar will be designed to allow time and space for meaningful discussion of topics related to the professional development of students. The module leader will take the role of facilitator. The seminar/ workshops will include guest lectures and/or other activities led, for instance, by the Careers and Employability service focused on professional development. Group and individual presentations will take place during the seminar hours.

Description: These independent learning hours are aimed at supporting the directed student learning. The module leader will provide guidance in the form of suggested readings and topics to examine with the expectation that students are well prepared to contribute to the seminar/ workshop activities. Self-Directed Learning will include research activity, developing academic writing skills, and wider reading to support the module.
