Liverpool Veterinary Parasitology Diagnostics (LVPD) is a dedicated veterinary parasitology diagnostic service available at the University of Liverpool. We are competitively priced, and provide clinical advice to veterinarians about parasite control. We offer triclabendazole resistance testing via a faecal egg count reduction test for sheep, and detection of antibodies to liver fluke in a bulk milk tank sample from dairy cattle. More recently we have launched a test to diagnose liver fluke in horses, a condition that has previously been unrecognised in UK horses.
As part of LVPD, a dedicated clinical advice line is available to provide more information about results and treatment options for parasitic diseases.
