The Veterinary Pathology Group (VPG), part of SYNLAB have joined EVSNET, contributing equine diagnostic laboratory data for research and surveillance. VPG started as TDDS and then followed with a further six laboratories as joint ventures. VPG offers a comprehensive range of tests and diagnostic advice, covers all aspects of clinical pathology and microbiology, as well as having expertise in cytology, histopathology, immunocytochemistry and histochemistry.

Andrew Torrance, Co-Founder, Managing Director and Boarded Clinical Pathologist said 'We are very pleased to be able to contribute to the national effort in equine research and surveillance. However vocational we may be, commercial laboratories find it difficult to use the “big data” we create from our high caseloads to contribute to knowledge nationally and internationally. SAVSNET and EVSNET provide us with this outlet and are greatly appreciated.'

Beth Brant, EVSNET Project Coordinator said ‘VPG have been long supporters of SAVSNET contributing small animal data, and we are really pleased that the laboratory is now helping make national equine research and surveillance possible’.
