Student award for horse colic paper

Claire Scantlebury, a student in the Institute of Infection and Global Health, has won the 2012 Richard Hartley Clinical Prize at the British Equine Veterinary Association (BEVA) congress in Birmingham.

She received her award from HRH The Princess Royal for her paper Recurrent colic in the horse: incidence and risk factors for recurrence in the general practice population and received £1,000 and a bronze replica of a horse’s head to be retained for one year.
