Benefactors' Fund grants awarded

A number of University departments will benefit from new equipment, improved facilities and student support services, thanks to support from the Benefactors’ Fund.
The latest projects to be funded include:
• £10,000 for promoting Women in Science Project
• £8,500 to support the University of Liverpool Employability Development Bursary Scheme
• £12,500 to enhance mobile teaching and learning in the School of Medicine
• £15,000 to the Philip Leverhulme Equine Hospital to help the purchase of surgical and AV equipment that is built into a theatre lighting system
• £25,000 to fund Bloomberg software in the Management School
• £10,896 to support the provision of Palaeolithic Portable Art and Organic Technology Teaching Collection in the Department of Archaeology
• £10,000 toward the purchase of an industrial robot to enhance robotics teaching in the School of Engineering
• £12,608 to fund microprocessor development boards and systems to enhance the teaching of computer programming and electrical engineering
Dr Lisa Hannah–Stewart, Annual Giving Manager, said: “We are grateful to our alumni for their continued support and donations. These gifts make an important contribution to the University community, by helping to fund projects that directly enhance and enrich the lives of our students.”
