Literature in Language Learning: new approaches

How can we use songs to talk about poetry in the language classroom, and how can creative writing workshops help with language teaching beyond the classroom? These are just a few of the questions addressed in the volume Literature in language learning: new approaches, co-edited by MLC staff Ana Almeida, Ulrike Bavendiek and Rosalba Biasini. The volume results from the Literature in Language Learning Conference, hosted at the University of Liverpool in June 2019. The stimulating conference motivated presenters to develop their ideas further, sharing theory and practice on the use of literature for language teaching. The result is a truly inspiring volume, full of practical ideas from researchers and practitioners in Modern Languages and English as a Foreign Language.
