Dr Michael Cearns
Michael is a Specialty Registrar in Neurosurgery. He qualified from UCL and undertook his initial neurosurgical training in Glasgow. He serves on the Society of British Neurological Surgeons Academic Committee in his role as RCS(Eng) Associate Surgical Specialty Lead for Neurosurgery. He is currently completing a PhD at the University of Liverpool studying the cellular and molecular immunology of glioblastoma.
Dr Filippo Dall'Armellina
Filippo graduated with First class Honours in Biological and Medical Sciences at the University of Liverpool (2019-2022), where he was the ceremony student speaker. He completed his PhD in Biochemistry (2022–2026), studying protein-protein and protein-lipid interactions in vitro and in silico, with a focus on their relevance to human diseases. As co-host of the Neuro Podcases podcast, ranked globally by Listen Notes in the top 5% most popular podcasts, he discusses cutting-edge neuroscience and clinical research at the University and internationally.
